This piece was inspired by one of my favorite poems. I love nature and being outdoors. Sitting on a hill with the wind bending the grass and wildflowers around me while overlooking the sea would be a perfect afternoon. I often think of this poem in the spring when my children bring me flowers picked from the garden or hillside.

This piece replicates a painting Monet did of sunflowers in a vase (pictured above my work). Of course, it is nothing like the great master's, but it sure was fun to try! I have always wanted to try my hand at Van Gogh's Starry Night...maybe it will be next.

In the Works
As of now I have many pieces almost complete. I believe there are around sixteen pieces awaiting their final touch. Currently I am working my first abstract piece, and let me just say up front it is a beast. It is my most ambitious work ever, but so far I am happy with what I see taking form. As soon as I have these pieces complete I will post them here.
Also, I will be attending a Christmas art show this November called "Bedazzled by the Arts" put on by Flo Caddell. I will be showing three large pieces along with
20-50 small to medium pieces. This is where I will debut my Christmas Collection.

This is my absolute favorite work to date. The colors are brilliant against the background. This piece took longer to accomplish than any other piece I have done so far, but the effort was a price well paid.
